Welcome to Newland Expeditions

Newland Expeditions is distinguished by its unique and exciting tours, that we guide ourselves. Our vision is to "deliver and have fun". We have a high percentage of repeat clients coming back each year on new tours, or extending their experience to fulfill their greater polar and mountaineering goals. Humour on tour is very important and makes the trip fun for everyone.

Our main focus will always be on safety and high quality – employing some of the most highly skilled guides in the business, involving excellent local contacts, and utilizing well-proven equipment – all combined to make amazingly memorable once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Only the best is good enough for you as our customer. We are always looking to improve, making the details a little bit better, but most of all, to deliver more than expected.

We hope to see you on tour with us soon!

Warning: Our trips will lead to a lifelong addiction and a strong desire to continue to explore for the rest of your life.

Jotunheimen – Norway's highest
Join us in the Jotunheimen National Park, also known as the 'Land of the Giants'. This is lightweight backpacking – staying in mountain huts (some of which are ore like hotels), learning about navigation, hiking through the snowy-capped mountains, and ending the journey by summitting the highest peak in Norway.

Iceland North West Fjords
IcelandIf you like wildlife and wilderness exploration, this remote and rugged undulating coastline is just for you – challenging hiking day walks from a basecamp, crossing tidal flats and icy cold rivers, glimpse the arctic fox or maybe even spot seals and whales out at sea ...and prepare to be deafened by the noise of teaming birdlife at Hornstrandir.

Heroes of Telemark
TelemarkExploring this southern end of the Hardangervidda high arctic plateau, we hike the final stages of the route taken by the Heroes of Telemark saboteurs to the Vemork heavy water plant near Rjukan. After visiting what is now a museum to this WW2 historic scene, our trip finishes with a hike to the summit of Gausta – the highest peak in southern Norway
