Helen Turton
Helen is a qualified teacher, who has worked in the outdoor industry for over 20 years, running outdoor centres, fulfilling the role of an outdoor education advisor, and leading on adult and student expeditions around the world, from destinations as far afield as the Falkland Islands and South Georgia in the southern hemisphere to Svalbard in the north. She also has a wide range of personal experience, working with groups with complex medical and physical needs and learning difficulties in a variety of environmental and expedition situations. She holds the UK Winter Mountain Leader certificate, BASI Nordic level 2 qualification, and is also a first aid trainer.

Her real passion is for taking part in polar ski touring and training trips. In fact, she enjoys nothing better than living a self-sufficient lifestyle out of a pulk (sledge) in cold climates. She loves to share her experiences and skills learnt on these trips with others - inspiring, encouraging and motivating others to believe in their dreams and to work hard to make them happen, whatever they might be!

‘I have a personal belief in the message "you get out of life what you put into it" - developing a ‘can do' attitude to life, a cheerful disposition and a sense of humour are key to the way I work.'
